ETSI Webinar “Essential Discussions about Non-Terrestrial Networks for 6G” on 16 May 2024

ETSI is pleased to invite you to participate in the Webinar “Essential Discussions about Non-Terrestrial Networks for 6G on 16 May 2024 at 10:00am CEST

Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTNs) include wireless communication platforms operating above the surface of the Earth, typically achieved using satellites in low, medium or geostationary orbit as well as drones, High Altitude Platforms (HAPS) and other aerial systems. A component of 5G since 3GPP Release 17, there is now general agreement that future 6G will feature the “native integration” of NTN from the outset.

Recognizing the importance of the topic, ETSI recently held a 2 day’ Conference on “Non-Terrestrial Networks, a Native Component of 6G” that included presentations about NTN use cases, potential candidate technologies, current research status and standardization roadmaps.

Due to the intense interest in the 6G and NTN topics, this ETSI webinar will enable the essential discussions around these key technologies.  The expert speakers will discuss and develop the priority areas for 6G and NTN as well as expanding on many of the key topics that were identified in the ETSI 2 day’ conference.

We will encourage strong audience participation during the event where the experts will answer your questions and get your thoughts / feedback on the future directions for NTN in 6G.

The webinar, moderated by David Boswarthick, Director New Technologies (NET), ETSI, will include presentations from:

  • Javier Albares Bueno, Head of 5G/6G Program, Smart Network and Services Joint Undertaking
  • Nicolas Chuberre, 3GPP NTN Rapporteur, Thales
  • Maria Guta, Senior 5G 6G SatCom Solutions Architect, European Space Agency (ESA)
  • Alessandro Vanelli Coralli, 6G-NTN Project Coordinator

Register now if you wish to attend and have the possibility to ask questions directly to the speakers.
