Annotation: Project is aimed at the proposal of a concept of ensuring the connection in emergency situations. It contains analysis of the individual resorts requirements on emergency communications, design of a communication model of the emergency communications system, system architecture of the emergency communications system, assessment of financial demands for establishing such a system, a series of steps and schedule of the concept implementation.

Annotation: Project analyses the status and direction of the development of the next generation networks (NGN) technology of electronic communication networks, used on the provision of publicly accessible electronic communications services and the readiness of Slovak Republic to integrate them in accordance with the national policy for electronic communications. Research of the standard base in terms of NGN technology development makes part of the project.

Annotation: The project is focused on introducing, dissemination and improving the Slovak technical terminology in the area of electronic communication systems, technologies and services, based on ongoing selection of new terms from documents of international and European standardisation organizations (ETSI, CENELEC, ITU) and EU juridical documents. Systematic research and search activities are aimed at creating or updating the English-Slovak explanatory dictionary of electronic communications.

Annotation: Project is aimed at assessment trends of deploying an alternate telecommunication infrastructure through the exploitation of existing power line networks. Moreover, it analyses technical, economic and juridical aspects of providing broadband access via PLC technologies, pays special attention to electromagnetic compatibility problems and proposes basic strategy of access to power line networks exploitation, being a part of constructing information-communication infrastructure in Slovak Republic.

Annotation: Technical regulation proposal for Slovak Telecom (ST) is the main project output. The content is focused on NGN general principles, principles and procedures for operation of ST-NGN network, and principles of measuring and testing NGN network.
